Kimball Geisler

---

Award-winning artist Kimball Geisler discovered his passion for landscape painting while studying at Brigham Young University–Idaho, where he earned his BFA in 2015. Painting outdoors deepened his connection to the natural world and inspired him to devote his career to exploring nature through art. His training provided a strong foundation in realism, with artist and mentor Albin Veselka serving as an important influence.

Kimball’s paintings combine careful attention to drawing, value, and color with expressive, spontaneous brushwork. He favors suggested detail, using varied textures and edges to capture the character of a landscape while preserving the vitality of the paint.

A member of Plein Air Painters of America since 2021, Kimball has earned numerous awards, including the 2022 PleinAir Salon Grand Prize. His work has been featured in prominent art magazines, and he shares his approach through painting workshops. He lives in Rexburg, Idaho, with his family, where the region’s rich mountain terrain provides continuing inspiration.
