September 2017: In it’s 13th year the Pacific Northwest Plein Air event has attracted some of the very finest painters locally and from across the country who set out to capture the inspiring vistas of the Columbia River Gorge and surrounding areas. This year, undaunted by triple digit temperatures and challenging smoky skies (from a forest fire), the artists created the best works we’ve ever seen for the competition and exhibition at the prestigious Maryhill Museum. Collectors agreed, because sales from the paintings exceeded $21,000! Thank you everyone: Maryhill Museum, all our sponsors, all the artists, and an express thanks to the collectors who purchased the art. We wouldn’t be here without all the support. See you next year!
Thank you, Maryhill Museum, Curator Steve Grafe, Juror Mike Hernandez, Sponsors, Art collectors / Art appreciators, and Artists for a wonderful event and reception.
